Unlocking and Locking of the Otava
Let’s unlock and lock the Otava
Date of unlocking: April 1, 2023
Date of locking: October 14, 2023
We’ll meet at 11:00 AM at the camp in Sušice (river km 89.6). Then, we’ll paddle the section of the river from Sušice to Žichovice (river km 82.3). If the weather is favorable, we can continue to Horažďovice (river km 72.6).
Possibility of renting boats and equipment for a symbolic price.
New Year’s Paddle on the Otava
January 2, 2023 – New Year’s Paddle on the Otava.
The paddle begins at the Na Křemelce weir at 11:00 AM. We will paddle down to Štěkeň.

We are a paddling family that founded a boat rental service in 2000. We are based in Strakonice, which allows us to efficiently transport our boats to the Otava and Vltava rivers. However, our services are also available on other rivers nearby, whether our customers want to explore new places or enjoy refreshing water adventures close to home.
